Farfalla

Tasarımcı: Rüya Akyol

Farfalla, “butterfly” in Italian, a lighting collection inspired by the elegant form of this creature.
As a designer, I wanted to capture the delicate yet structured nature of the butterflies, using marble, glass, and metal to create a series of lighting fixtures that feel both sculptural and functional.

The design of Farfalla revolves around the concept of wings and body. The marble pieces represent the wings, while a glass-and-metal tubular structure forms the body, connecting the elements and housing the LED light. This structure is both the source of light and the functional core of the lamp, holding everything together with a sense of effortless balance.

There are two main versions of Farfalla. The first and primary version features two marble wings
and is available in three pendant sizes, a linear pendant, a wall lamp, and a table lamp. The second version, with three marble wings, and a vertically positioned core, offers a more subtle interpretation and is available as a pendant and table lamp.

Farfalla brings together the solidity of marble, the precision of metal, and the softness of glass in a way that feels harmonious. The metal body is sleek and understated, allowing the wings to take center stage.

Whether as a pendant, wall, or table lamp, Farfalla brings a touch of feminine elegance and
timeless beauty to any space, blending art and function in a way that feels both organic and
refined.
